Local Man Founds “Hog Whisperers Anonymous” Support Group For Pig Owners

LIVINGSTON, TX – In a groundbreaking move that has left the community both scratching their heads and oinking with laughter, local resident Jeb Higginbotham has officially founded “Hog Whisperers Anonymous,” a support group for pig owners in East Texas.

Higginbotham, a lifelong pig enthusiast and self-proclaimed “swine whisperer,” decided to start the group after a particularly intense argument with his pet pig, Bubba, over the proper way to cook bacon. “I reckon us pig owners need a safe space to share our struggles and triumphs with these here majestic creatures,” Higginbotham explained during the group’s inaugural meeting at the Livingston Community Center.

The group, which meets every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., offers a supportive environment for fellow pig owners to discuss everything from training techniques to the best pig-themed recipes. Higginbotham kicked off the first meeting with a heartfelt rendition of “Old MacDonald Had a Farm,” accompanied by Bubba on the harmonica.

“It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who sings lullabies to my pigs at night,” said local resident Betty Sue Jenkins, wiping away tears of camaraderie. “I always thought I was just a little pig-crazy, but now I see there’s a whole community of us out here in Polk County.”

In addition to weekly meetings, “Hog Whisperers Anonymous” has launched a quarterly newsletter, “The Squeal Appeal,” and plans to host a “Pig Prom” fundraiser at the local VFW hall next month.
