ONALASKA, TX—Residents in the small town of Onalaska were shocked and slightly disappointed to learn that a new business was coming to town that wasn’t another barbecue joint. Local entrepreneur, Bubba Joe Johnson, proudly announced the grand opening of “Not Another BBQ Joint,” a unique dining experience that will offer everything from sushi to vegan options.

“I wanted to bring something different to Onalaska,” Johnson stated. “Don’t get me wrong, I love me some brisket and ribs, but I think it’s time we spiced things up around here.”

The menu at “Not Another BBQ Joint” will feature a variety of international dishes, including Thai curry, Italian pasta, and even Ethiopian injera. In addition to the diverse cuisine, the restaurant will also offer a selection of craft cocktails and a curated wine list.

While many residents were initially skeptical of the new establishment, Johnson’s innovative approach to dining has already garnered a loyal following. “I never thought I’d see the day when I could order pad thai in Onalaska,” said longtime resident, Betty Sue Jenkins. “But I have to admit, it’s nice to have some variety for once.”

Despite the excitement surrounding “Not Another BBQ Joint,” some residents have expressed concerns about the lack of traditional East Texas fare. “I just don’t know if I can trust a place that doesn’t serve fried catfish,” said local fisherman, Billy Bob Thompson.
