About the Tarot Deck: We are using the 78 card original 1910 Deck. Original card images with our own custom back. The Rider-Waite tarot deck, originally published 1910, is one of the most popular tarot decks in use for divination in the English-speaking world.

We are using a simple 3 card spread for your free tarot card reading. A 3 card spread typically means ..

Card 1: Past…. Card 2: Present…. Card 3: Future.

The three card reading is one of the simplest tarot card spreads. The card to the left represents events in your past that may have led to the position you are in now. The Tarot card in the center position represents your outlook on your current state of affairs. The card furthest to the right suggests a possible outcome if no action is taken to change the current course. The future is not set in stone & can be changed through action.

The Strength Tarot card is the Major Arcana card of inner strength. It represents mastering raw emotions in order to bring calm to yourself or a situation. It is similar to the Chariot in that it represents overcoming challenges. However, the Strength card usually refers to inner challenges. Overcoming the obstacles we face in relation to our own doubts, fears and anxieties. In a general context this card indicates that you are learning to master your fears and anxieties, to be courageous and daring. You have all the skills you need to be successful, the focus now is to conquer your inner worries and believe in yourself. Take the time you need to master your emotions, be patient and compassionate with yourself and you will find a new confidence in yourself and your abilities. Strength, as well as being representative of taming your emotions, can also represent taming someone else’s wild ways. This is not done by trying to dominate the other person but by gentle coaxing, positive reinforcement, encouragement and compassion.

When the Strength Tarot card appears reversed in your Tarot reading, it indicates that you are not tapping into the inner strength you have. It is does not indicate a lack of strength so much as it indicates that you are letting fear, anxiety or low self-esteem paralyse you. Now more than ever you need to summon your inner resolve and self-belief to pull you out of your current situation. You have the strength you need to get over your obstacles. You have simply lost touch with it and that disconnection is leaving you feeling weak, vulnerable and lacking confidence. Focus on the positive, stay away from people who make you feel inadequate and spend time with people who build you up.

The Wheel of Fortune is generally an indicator of luck or destiny and it is a Major Arcana signifier of change. When the Wheel of Fortune appears upright in your Tarot reading big changes are coming. These changes should be for your greater good, but remember not all change is easy even if it’s leading you to your destiny! The upright Wheel of Fortune signals that the universe is working in your favour to help you reach your goals. Make sure you make the most of this time by focusing your intention on what you truly want! Know that the universe has a plan for you even if that plan is not clear to you at this point. The Wheel of Fortune also represents the ever-changing cycles we go through in life. We must learn to accept this process as part of living, even if it’s uncomfortable at times. This trump card is also a karma card so remember to be nice to people on your way up, you may be meeting them again on your way back down!

In a general context, the Wheel of Fortune reversed Tarot card still indicates change but this change is likely to be negative and unwelcome. The reversed Wheel of Fortune is a strong indicator that there is a challenging time ahead and that the change coming may be difficult to adjust to. It can represent that things had been going well and have suddenly and quite unexpectedly fallen apart. This sudden deterioration can leave you feeling powerless, out of control and as if external forces are working against you. However, that is not the case. While there may be some outside factors, the current situation is most likely a result of decisions you made. You will need to take control of your situation and ownership of your choices in order to learn from this situation. Although things may be tough with the Wheel of Fortune in reverse, there is a big opportunity for you to learn karmic lessons here that will help you move on to a brighter and better future, seize the opportunity and don’t resist change. These ups and downs are part of life and often we learn more from hardship than we do from good fortune.

The Nine of this suit has a special resonance with the Middle Ages, because it figures the plight of a woman who is alone in the world, during the centuries when women had no personal rights, no ability to inherit property or use the law in their own defense. We generally see her sitting up in bed weeping, grieving and in fear of abandonment because of her vulnerability, wondering what will happen to her now that her protector (father, brother, husband, or son) is gone.

The swords above her head may indicate that the loss has come through some cruel conflict, the outcome of which has left her behind as chattel, the spoils of war. Really what we are looking at is the price of pride, which creates losers as a side effect of glorifying winners. The woman in the picture represents the concerns of the heart, the damage to the soul and to vulnerable ones, when the ego-mind becomes so invested in control and domination that it does not count the human costs. A sensitive, subtle, heartfelt approach to nature (the “feminine”) is trampled and thrown aside in service to a “winner takes all” mentality.

When the Nine of Swords is reversed, it generally indicates an opportunity to wake up from a long dark period of depression and negativity. Some long dark period is becoming illuminated by optimism.

You are finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. This is a tremendous breakthrough, and it’s a blessing when you turn negative thinking around — with the power of renewed hope and optimism.
