Local Man Claims to Have Seen Sasquatch in Big Thicket, Residents Concerned About Local Wildlife’s Safety

LIVINGSTON, TX – In a shocking turn of events, local Polk County resident, Bubba Jenkins, is claiming to have had a close encounter with the mythical creature known as Sasquatch while out hunting in the Big Thicket National Preserve.

According to Jenkins, he was deep in the woods tracking a buck when he stumbled upon a large hairy figure standing upright and staring back at him. “At first, I thought it was just a really big fella in a fur coat, but when it let out a howl that shook the trees, I knew it was the real deal,” Jenkins recounted in an exclusive interview with eastexasnews.com.

Since Jenkins’ story broke, residents of Polk County have been both fascinated and alarmed by the prospect of a Sasquatch roaming the area. Concerns have been raised about the safety of local wildlife, with fears that the mysterious creature could disrupt the delicate ecosystem of the Big Thicket.

“There’s already enough competition for game out here without adding a giant ape into the mix,” said local hunter and conservationist, Martha Sue Thompson, in a statement to polkcountytoday.com.

Despite the skepticism and jokes circulating around town, Jenkins stands by his claim, insisting that what he saw was not a figment of his imagination. “I know what I saw, and I ain’t the only one. People need to be on the lookout and stay safe out there,” he urged his fellow Polk County residents.

As the debate over the existence of Sasquatch continues to divide the community, one thing is for certain – the legend of the East Texas Bigfoot has never been more alive in Polk County.
