Local Man Discovers Bigfoot-Like Creature in Polk County, Turns Out to Be Neighbor’s Unkempt Cousin

POLK COUNTY, TX – In a bizarre turn of events, residents in Polk County were left scratching their heads after a local man claimed to have spotted a Bigfoot-like creature roaming around his property, only to later discover it was his neighbor’s unkempt cousin who had come to visit for a few days.

The incident unfolded in the small town of Onalaska, where 54-year-old Billy Bob Jenkins reported seeing a large, hairy figure lurking in the woods behind his house. Jenkins, a self-proclaimed Bigfoot enthusiast, immediately contacted local authorities and shared his findings on social media, sparking a frenzy of excitement and speculation among the townsfolk.

As word spread, a team of eager Bigfoot hunters descended upon the area, armed with cameras and traps in hopes of capturing the elusive creature. However, their efforts were quickly thwarted when Jenkins’ neighbor, Bubba Ray Thompson, came forward to explain that the hairy figure was none other than his cousin Cletus, who had been camping on his property for the past week.

“It was all just a big misunderstanding,” Thompson said. “Cletus is a bit of a recluse and tends to get lost in the woods sometimes. I guess he forgot to shave and was mistaken for Bigfoot. Sorry for any confusion.”

Despite the anticlimactic resolution, Jenkins remains undeterred in his quest for evidence of Bigfoot’s existence in East Texas. He plans to continue his search in nearby Sam Houston National Forest, where he believes the legendary creature may still be lurking.

In the meantime, Polk County residents are encouraged to exercise caution when encountering tall, hairy individuals in the woods, as they may turn out to be nothing more than wayward relatives in need of a good shave.
