Local Man Invents New Fishing Technique by Using Chainsaw as Bait

LIVINGSTON, TX – In a groundbreaking discovery for the world of fishing, Polk County resident and self-proclaimed outdoorsman, Bubba Johnson, has invented a new technique to reel in the big ones – using a chainsaw as bait.

Johnson, a longtime fisherman known for his unconventional methods, shared his innovative approach during an exclusive interview with Eastexasnews.com. “Well, y’see, I was out on Lake Livingston one day, just minding my own business, when I ran out of regular bait. So, I thought to myself, why not give this ol’ chainsaw a try? And lo and behold, I caught myself a whopper of a catfish!”

According to Johnson, the secret to his success lies in the loud and aggressive noises produced by the chainsaw, which he claims attracts fish from all corners of the lake. “Folk might think I’m crazy, but let me tell ya, them fish can’t resist the sound of a revving chainsaw. It’s like ringing the dinner bell for ‘em,” Johnson exclaimed with a toothy grin.

Local fishing enthusiasts have mixed reactions to Johnson’s unconventional method. “I never thought I’d see the day when a man would use a chainsaw as bait, but hey, if it works, it works,” commented fellow angler, Hank Jenkins.

Despite the skepticism from some in the community, Johnson’s newfound technique has garnered attention from fishing enthusiasts across East Texas. Polkcountytoday.com even reported an increase in chainsaw sales at the local hardware store, as more residents seek to replicate Johnson’s success on the water.

As Johnson continues to fine-tune his chainsaw fishing technique, he remains optimistic about the future. “Who knows, maybe one day I’ll be known as the Chainsaw King of Lake Livingston. It’s a cutthroat world out there, but I ain’t afraid to rev things up a notch!”
