Power isn`t always rational. Those who wield it now seem especially lacking in clarity and linear thinking. This is one time when going over somebody else`s head might bring unwelcome consequences down on your own. Instead of complaining, just do what you promised or were hired to do. If they try to micromanage, offer to stand back and let them do it on their own. It`s simply blunt honesty from the mouth of an expert. If you can avoid this scenario, take the time to get it right on your first pass, but without appearing to linger.
